Haven of Hope is housed in a former convent formerly run by the Sisters of Good Shepard for 97 years. Their order took a special vow to “bind themselves to labor for the conversion of fallen women needing refuge from the temptations of the world”. Picking up where the sisters left off, Haven of Hope is now a refuge for women new to recovery.
When entering the home, one can sense a feeling of peace, love and tranquility. Most visitors to the home remark that they feel at home immediately. A lot of thought went into the home’s renovation in an effort to maintain its charm and 1940’s character. Our bedrooms are uniquely designed and has its own theme.
We are located in close proximity to many shopping plazas, restaurants and entertainment venues. Located in historic Methuen, MA, Haven of Hope is just 30 minutes north of Boston, 30 minutes from the Massachusetts and New Hampshire seacoasts, and one hour to beautiful North Conway in the picturesque White Mountains.
